Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. It’s a pleasure to welcome you today. Let me introduce myself. I’m XXX, the first-year student of the Budget and Treasury Academy of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation. I am here today to present you my term paper. The topic of my presentation is « Development and formation of ownership in the period of social and economic changes in Russia». Today I’d like to give you an overview of the changes which happened with the category of property and to accord special priority on the privatization in Russia in the end of 1990th. Economics plays a central role in our life, because it is all around us. What makes the price of oil go up? Why is there unemployment? What is inflation? All of these are questions where economics plays an important role. So for the person who is curious about how the world works, knowing something about economics is a pretty important thing. Now I’d like to tell you something about economics. Firstly I’ll start with the history of economics. Then I’ll say about macro and microeconomics, continue with definition of system and economic system, after that, I’ll tell you about macro environment, international economics.

The city states of Sumer developed a trade and market economy based originally on the commodity money of the Shekel which was a certain weight measure of barley, while the Babylonians and their city state neighbors later developed the earliest system of economics using a metric of various commodities, that was fixed in a legal code.[12] The early law codes from Sumer could be considered the first (written) economic formula, and had many attributes still in use in the current price system today... such as codified amounts of money for business deals (interest rates), fines in money for 'wrong doing', inheritance rules, laws concerning how private property is to be taxed or divided, etc. For a summary of the laws, see Babylonian law and Ancient economic thought.

The title of my theme is “Economics”. Firstly I am going to tell you about history of economics, how its developed and about the most well-known economists of different times. Then I’ll tell you about two major branches of economics as macroeconomics and microeconomics, what they study. After that I want to look economic systems, what these are and their main concepts. The following part of my topic is macro environment in which I’ll look its major components. And the last part is international economics as the study of the world economy.
