Diamonds (means "unbreakable" in Greek) 

Diamond is the hardest substance found in nature, everyone knows that.  

The first diamonds were found in ancient times in India.

Diamond is formed in huge pressure and heat, deep within the Earth.They mostly form in the Earth's mantle, the layer beneath the crust or surface layer, at a depth of about 150km.  

Diamonds are made in the molten magma deep inside the Earth. 

The biggest diamond in the world is a giant rock unearthed in North West South Africa with an uncut weight of 7000 carats.

  
Diamonds are found in many areas including Russia, Australia, Brazil, Canada,South Africa, Botswana, Angola and other country.

Diamonds are judged on several factors that determine their beauty. Most diamonds never reach the consumer market because they are too flawed.

Although we often think of diamonds as being clear, there are also blue, red, black, pale green, pink and violet diamonds.
